Dissolving a paper towel

I managed to get a large wad of paper towel stuck inside a narrow metal tube, and it doesn't want to come out. No matter how much force I apply it remains lodged in the middle. I'm thinking my best bet is dissolving it somehow. Anyone have ideas?

LOL just kidding.

You sure you can't just take a smaller tube (diameter wise) and just shove it in and out :)P) till it comes out :)Q)

Maybe just unbend a hanger and use it to dig it out?

I'm not sure if I can find one of those but I will look. All of mine are plastic.

Technology dooms us all!

Also try any of that drain stuff.

try to break it up with a rod first, even if it doesnt work fully, this will aid any chemical solutions due to increased surface area exposed.

Draino should do the trick...heating may be required. I've dissolved many a filter paper with hot, basic solutions.

Even after an hour of losing a fight with a paper towel, that made me laugh.

Spell check chiming in: the word is spelled voila, not "wala".

You are welcome.

Carry on.

well, if you haven't tried getting it wet and pushing it out, then I recommend letting it absorb some oil, then trying to push it out.

And once you start pouring chemicals in there, be careful what else you add, you don't want to end up with chlorine gas etc.
