Displayport to Dual link DVI

Any suggestions for a displayport to dual link DVI adapter? I need it to use 3d surround on my GTX 680 according to nvida's website.

Heard about alot of failures from the dell. Thanks though. I cant believe displayport wont run 120hz 3D.

That makes no sense whatsoever D: The GTX 680 outputs a DISPLAYPORT signal to the displaypoirt -> DL-DVI adapter, which then sends a DL-DVI signal to the surround monitor. I don't see how a native displayport monitor wouldn't work with displayport, since as far as the GTX 680 is concerned, it can't tell the difference between a native displayport monitor and a displayport-to-DL-DVI adapter.

On the geforce blog site, it says that

I dun get it. Which is right?

I have a MSI 680 and three of the acer GD235hz's. They have DP on them but look what nvidia suggest on the site. http://www.nvidia.com/content/3d-vi...ion_Surround_GF_GTX_680_Mar12_rev2-Single.pdf
So unless I'm reading the wrong page, the GD235hz doesn't even support DisplayPort. It's DL-DVI, VGA, and HDMI. In which case I think you're confusing the HDMI port for a DisplayPort.

In any case you're correct in that you'll need a DisplayPort to DL-DVI adapter. The good news is that they're all the same (only one company makes a chipset). The bad news is that they're all the same. So you can grab the Dell or the Apple adapter, it won't make a difference.

p_monks33: I'm using 2d surround but i'm sure 3d would work. I have 2 of my monitors connected to the 2 DVI ports and the third monitor is connect as follows: DVI from monitor to Active display port to displayport on the GTX680. I'm using this displayport adapter:

Despite the two bad reviews it has worked well when I used it for the 3rd monitor on Eyefinity with a 5850 and just as well for the GTX 680. Since it is an active USB powered adapter it should be fine for 3d use.

The adapter I bought (I also have an active mini) was originally for the 5850 which required a full sized displayport. AMD statrted to use mini displayport connectors with the 6000 series and continued it with the 7000 series. The Nvidia GTX 670/680 use a full sized displayport.
