Hey folks,
I'm trying to share my Acer XB270HU 1440p 144 Hz GSync display between two PCs. I need max quality / low latency, so a DisplayPort KVM is the only option.

I bought an ATEN CS782DP and while it does work it cannot reliably hold 144 Hz, it frequently falls back to 85 Hz. Per their support:

"First of all, our CS782DP supports DisplayPort 1.2 and does NOT support GSync. With GSync disable, CS782DP can support 1920x1280 @ 144Hz, over that resolution, 144Hz might not be supported."

This smells fishy. GSync just runs on DP 1.2 and AFAIK doesn't require anything special, but I may be wrong. Some research confirmed this understanding, but it was just forum posts and stuff.

Does anyone know of / can vouch for a KVM that's known to work well with a setup like this?

I found that by using short 1.5 / 1 meter cables certified for HBR3 aka DP 1.4 I could get a stable connection. Mostly.

Some occasional issues with fallback to 85 Hz remained.

I just bought one of them actually :)

I tried one from Aten and one from Startech. The former failed to maintain refresh rates and the latter had usb glitches sometimes with my mouse.

Hoping the Level1Techs is as good as everyone says!
