Display idle time in XP?

[Achtung]

Is there any way I can continuously display how long I've been idle in XP? For some reason, my screensaver never comes on, and I think something is running that makes XP think there is input, but I have no idea what it could be. If I can see the idle time, and when it resets back to 0, that might help.

if your screensaver is not loading up... did you go into control-panel-> display-> screensaver and set the time it needs to go into a screensaver? If your monitor is black when you come back to it it probably means the power-saver stuff (under power in control panel) kicked in. I think the default is no screensaver, but that might just be me. I set mine to go off after 15 minutes

don't know if that'll help I don't know about the idle-timer though
