I"m running Windows XP. Today, I came back to my computer and my screen display had changed. I could see my whole desktop like it was before, but it was in a much smaller portion of the screen. There was a large black border around the viewing area that was just unused parts of my screen. I messed around with the resolution, and making it 1400x1050 got it to take up the entire screen. However, on other ones, like 800x600, the display does not stretch to take up the entire screen like it used to do. I have an
ATI Mobility 128 AGP 4x (DELL) video card. I have messed around with all the settings and stuff in the control panel --> display section. Anyone know what's going on with my computer? thanks.

Try changing the actual settings of your monitor throught the buttons/controls on your monitor.
