So my little brother's Asus laptop recently went in for service, as it would not boot into windows, and previously before that had kept blue screening (Was a driver issue apparently, that's what Best Buy told us). With it's recent boot problems, Best Buy told us this time that it probably would cost more to fix it than it would be to purchase a new laptop, as apparently the motherboard had went (Secondhand information, I got this information from my father who had spoken with them).
So tonight, when they went to retrieve the laptop, my father picked up a new laptop for the kid, this one specifically: http://bit.ly/zNgvdF
They came home, and I started to set it up for the kid. Windows installation went perfectly fine. Logged into his account to start setting things up. Install some windows updates, and then afterwards the computer's display driver kept crashing. (See picture for the error:http://bit.ly/x5I260)
I went to Nvidia and updated the driver to the latest version, but the problem kept occurring. My father's going to get it exchanged for a different computer (Not sure if of same brand or if he'll get a different brand). But I was wondering, just what the hell could cause this to happen?
