Disparity on Core 1 and Core 2 temps on my x2 3800+

So, I just got my new mobo/cpu.

I'm using the asrock 939 dual sata2 and x2 3800+ overclocked to 2.4 Ghz (stock voltages) right now. I'm running it on open air right now (26 C environment)

with prime95s running on each core, Everest says that my cpu temps fluctuate around...
Cpu 1, Core 1: 64
Cpu 1, Core 2: 56
Cpu: 56

under full load...

What's up with the disparities?
What temps are other ppl getting with their x2 3800+ setup?

it's normal for slight differences to occur, considering that each CPU has slightly different silicon quality. my core 0 temp is often like 2C higher than core 1 on my e6400. still, 8C seems pretty extreme.

here, try this software:

apparently it's very accurate. if there is still a huge difference then something screwy is goin on.

My Core 2 Duo E6400 is the same way. Using "Core Temp", Core 1 reads 46C and Core 2 reads 53C. When I put a serious load on the cpu with say Prime 95, the two cores max out at about the same temperature so I don't worry about it much. I was wondering if the difference could be that when the computer is somewhat idle, one core is being worked much more than the other.

hmm, it seems to do the same thing everest does, except it updates more frequently so that it's easier to tell that my average disparity is about 6 C. 8 C disparity happens rarely.

I'm now doing 2.45 Ghz at stock vcore (doing more prime95 tests at this speed)....I tried going 2.55 to 2.6 but prime95 would fail easily. I should test out each component, but I'm not stressing mobo/ memory at all at this point...

Temps are very steady around
Core 0: 64
Core 1: 58
Cpu: 56
under full load (dual prime95)

Which temp should I be paying attention to? lol...I know they're estimates but -> ;(

Heatsink feels like hot food that you could eat and slightly cooler than hdd...

My core temps are only a degree apart both idle and under full load on my E6400.
