DisneyWorld is $100 for admission?!

This thread just reminded me that my annual pass expires in January. I may let it go and keep my Universal Studios pass.

$100 is not bad considering the park is open from 9am (8 with early entry) until midnight (which can be extended as you slowly exit). That's 15+ hours of rides, parades, fireworks, street entertainment, etc... I'm speaking from experience at Disneyland, I'm sure Disney World is similar.

Compare that to the cost of a 3 hour MLB baseball or NFL football game at $40 - $100+ a ticket depending on where you sit and it's a pretty good deal. Food cost is probably comparable. Same with plays, opera, etc.. Just depends on what you want to spend your cash on.

The problem is most are not just going a day which leads to economies of scale.

I don't know many that can do 15+ hours in the park.

Ughh just witnessed some fat ass Jersey family cut in line at Spaceship Earth and then proceed to get belligerent with the family behind them. Guy is yelling and cussing up a storm in front of his 8 year old. Thought Disney had better control over this stuff, but they let them on the ride no problem where they continued harassing the family from their seats.

It's the most magical place on Earth!

Customer service had gone downhill over the years. Disney relies too much on their college program for employees now. Just a bunch of interns that don't care. Hopefully they will wise up soon and hire more fulltime people.

Umm Disney always hires quality people. If you have a problem, get someone and they will take care of it Disney is known as a great place to work which is why they have so many people there long term.

Meh, it is a pretty common complaint these days. Too many interns, not enough full timers. Cut down training times. Seems to be a bit better at Disneyland IME.

My family and friends go to Disney frequently, I have not heard of any complaints about the staff.

Now the quality of visitors has gone down hill.

I wasn't sursurprised that the fatass was loud and belligerent. I was surprised that the staff didn't do anything about it. When we were waiting in line one girl came over and asked the guy to try to be more quiet - not, you know, to stop accosting other guests in the line. When we got to the ride and I saw he was continuing from his seat, I called a guy over and said something needed to be done as I figured he'd wait for the other family at the end of the ride and things might get violent. Again, nobody said or did anything.

I don't really blame Disney for it... Just a little disappointed I didn't get to see the floor open up and the Disney ninjas drag the guy away. For what it's worth, I'he only ever seen belligerent assholes at Epcot.

It's more a three strike type system. It was communicated I can almost guarantee it.

They don't share what's being done because it would create a mob frenzy many times.

They usually have a CM follow the family and refer to them as their 'special guests'.

I have seen people talked with quickly by park personnel before. I did not know they did this.

I have always experienced great service at Disney World.

Fatasses come from all over the country.
How do you know it was New Jersey?
