Disney's Frozen merchandise still not in stock

My daughter just turned 5 and we took her to target yesterday to return a duplicate gift and let her pick out a replacement gift. The store shelves only had one frozen toy, a musical wand, that my daughter already has.

This movie came out last Thanksgiving, that was over 5 months ago and yet there is still no little merchandise that Disney stores get more on Friday nights via special shipments and then customers form a line at opening every Saturday.

Did Disney drop the ball here? I know they planned for Anna to be more popular than Elsa which is not the case but still you would think any supply issues they have would be overcome and they could ramp up production now, almost 6 months after the movie was released.

Go to Amazon.com, type in "Disney's Frozen" and get 16K results. Hit "Prime Eligible" and get 1.6K results. Select "Toys & Games" and get 638 results.

The stores are full of Frozen crap. Go to a different store.

frozen toys are actually a pretty hot item to flip right now from what i've read.
best place to find the dolls would be at the actual disney store. The dolls have real clothes. Most of the ones they sell online and at the local b&m stores have the clothes painted on.

Are you in Canada? There was an article today about empty shelves at Target stores in Canada. I've been in the one here where we live in NJ recently and also seen a lot of empty shelves and disorganized merchandise sections. They seem to not be as good at running their operation as they once were.

target and walmart frequently have empty shelves. Stocking them is bottom of their priority because they never hire enough people

It is not a Target issue, the Disney Stores also do not have anything. I saw some mugs and a something else that my 5 year old daughter could care less about.

Surprise hit or not i would think any production issues would be ironed out by now, 6 months after the initial release.

Disney had a similiar problem with Cars.

The summer after (the good) Cars 1 was released, we couldn't find anything in stores. They did ramp up the merchandise by Christmas.


It's still very odd seeing Disney miss out on so many merchandising opportunities.
