In that you could change your skin tone at will? Dark in the summer to avoid the burn and pasty in the winter for the vitamin D? Sign me right up! I'd totally be down for that!
I think he had something in mind more like green or blue-green cells with chloroplasts. But photosynthesizing plants reject the highest energy portion of the spectrum. They absorb energy from the low and high wavelengths but reject green. Somehow I think this rejection of green is actually predicted by quantum mechanics but don't ask me how.

edit: oh, the point of that little excursion was that the Farscape character might have just absorbed green wavelengths. No idea how that would make someone look though. White light minus green? IDK, I guess she would have to appear purplish?

I can't wait till someone makes a movie about Jesus and cast an actor that look like the actual biblical description. Those people will lose their minds.

I think that this would be more fun!

This is what the woman out of the film you mentioned looks like:

She's white, sure, but "skin as white as snow"? As I said, it's absurd.

I'm pretty sure conservatives would completely lose their shit if Disney did that :D
Yeah but that's years later and after she got a tan, she was like 23 when she did the movie and that pic is 8 years later.
Also yeah sure, what's the problem with using makeup an post to enhance the look you want to show?

In the OP they're talking about "racism". I don't think that most people believe that issues stemming from racist attitudes can be fixed with makeup.

- edit - having said that, the kind of people complaining about "woke racism" wrt a Snow White movie probably are fucking stupid enough to be satisfied with makeup, ie. when their argument didn't make any sense to begin with, why would a logical conclusion be necessary.
