I can't understand why you have to. I never did with my kids and as far as I can tell they aren't scarred by it. Truth is that they won't care nearly as much as you think they do unless you create an expectation of this being a right.

Do something else.

Most of their friends have already gone. I went a couple of times as a kid. We'll have fun on the trip, just not going to do it more than once. ;)

I can't bring myself it spend $600 bucks just in tickets and then wait in a line for 3 hours for one 5 minute ride.

Don't worry, you won't be waiting in line for any ride.

You'll be spending 8 hours waiting in line for your kids to meet the newest Disney princess :)

SoCal has much better parks than Disney, IMHO, both Knott's and Six Flags. But if people keep going at the higher prices, what choice do they really have? Personally, I'd rather it be $100 with reasonable lines, than $50 with horrible lines.

I still don't understand the love for Disney parks. The first time I went was when I was 28 to Disney World, and I could list off at least 15 parks I've been to that are better, even if they were all the same price. Disney World was just a huge disappointment to me, and the actual parks are actually pretty small compared to good Amusement Parks. Also the food was horrible.

Now I will pay a premium to go on a Disney Cruise, because of the level of service and attention to detail.

This really shocked me when I was at DW. I thought the whole point was the characters walked around and interacted with people all the time. There were a few that I saw in the Magic Kingdom, but for the most part you had to stand in line to see them. The interactions with characters is much better on their ships, IMHO.

Well they may as well soak some more money out of the rich since lowly regular working Americans can't afford to go there anymore.

You must never have been...

By and large, the people in Disneyland are most definitely not rich.

They tend to be lower- and lower-middle class people. People who generally probably shouldn't be going to Disneyland, honestly.

Rich people go on cruises and tropical vacations.

By all means go if you want to but not because you feel compelled. Buy me a souvenir :D

Going to disneyland is a fundamental right for everyone, and there obviously isn't any competition at all in the amusement park business or competition for the entertainment dollars. How dare they use their evil monopoly on entertainment to force people to pay exorbitant sums to get in the the park!

</sarcasm>

OP's idiocy just never ceases to reach new heights.

As long as people keep tripping over themselves to throw money at Disney they will be able to keep raising the prices like this
