Give it a few weeks and I'm sure they will throw enough money at it to get it to work. Not much of a fan of Disney but you can't really expect these things to work from day one. If 2 months from now it still sucks then we can all pile on.

i guess you can see why they are charging $6.99/month for it. It'll be $20 in due time but maybe by then the servers will be fixed.

Didn't have a problem streaming at all. I'll have to watch other shows Disney+ has.

I just signed up for the free account since I have Verizon Unlimited and the interface is an exact rip off of Netflix. Guess they should have patented that shit.

Got mine free as part of Verizon unlimited data perk, installed the app on my Fire TV Stick, and it is working great. Already watched the first episode of Mandalorian.

Ya know... if you recently bought yourself a new iPhone and picked the Verizon Unlimited package, you qualify for a free year of both Disney+ and Apple TV+.

Something tells me that Netflix is going to lose a ton of subscribers because of package deals like this.

Neither have anywhere near the content that netflix has managed to assemble. D+ is a lot of back catalog with a really specific audience, not a lot of new content. Apple TV is new IP, but not a lot of back content. Maybe in a couple years, but I can't see canceling netflix even if I got both free.

I watched The Mandolorian and it was perfect, but then I watched a documentary on that flight that went into the Hudson River and man the audio was totally f'd up on that, a couple seconds out-of-sync. Dunno why; restarting it didn't fix it. I watched the whole thing anyway cause I'm a glutton for punishment (and I always use captions).

This was via the Disney+ app on my TV.

Miracle Landing on the Hudson -
Disney+ app or browser, works for me, not out of sync.

Huh. Yeah it was weird, since Mandolorian worked fine. I'll have to see if anything else is out-of-sync.

I'm not sure if I agree. The movie selection on Netflix seems to suck now. Most the new content is stuff that Netflix produced themselves.

When Disney+ and Apple TV+ are both offering a bunch of "free" 4K content in early 2020 and Netflix still wants to charge $20 a month for their 4K content... yeah, I know what I'd choose if I was on a budget.

Netflix saw this long ago (losing movies) and have been focusing on original content. That seemed to have worked well leading up to today.

Also shows have less budget and 10-20x of running time.
