With Tax + Shipping and handling it's almost $15. I don't think this is a good deal
I was thinking the same thing. Their shipping charges are too high. $6 bucks to ship a DVD? and then taxes on top of it.

The $15 of HOLIDAY MAGIC is redeemable November 1-10, 2002
The card was sent as part of a previous promotion when somebody spent over a certain amount($75) within a certain period.

From the card:
"
On the web: Log on to Disneystore.com. If you're not a registered member, you need to register first. When you begin the checkout process, type the coupon code HOLIDAY into the text box on your Shopping Cart page.

On the phone: Call 1 800-237-5751 to place your order with Disney catalog. Mention the coupon code HOLIDAY to the Cast member
"

-Card valid for one transaction only
-not valid with any other sales promotion, gift or discount

I suspect that the physical card was meant to control the use of this promotion.

They took the coupon code offline last night (nov-02) at about 9 pm. You can still call in your orders and place them via the 1-800# though.

Hope the orders still go through. I wish this had come up on a....Monday (so it could have shipped the next day) instead of a Friday.

My Ebates for this purchase was just credited to my account so I suppose it went through. I had sort of wish it didn't because I bought some pretty useless stuff 🙂

what's the word on this deal?? i've heard crazy rumors that disney is not going to honor the coupon if you do not have a physical copy - in fact, i hear they are going to charge everyone full price and require you to mail them your physical copy of the coupon before they will credit you the $15. is there any truth to this??

Forget about this deal. I just called the CSR and she said that if you don't have a coupon card with this code to mail in, then you can either cancel the order, or you get it for FULL PRICE!

I opted to cancel!

It's a bummer that my favorite movie is tied to Disney.

... Thinking about the poor kids making my Nightmare Before Christmas globes for a nickel a day...

... and laughing when Disney holds up a $120 order over a 15 dollar discount.

just read the note on cnet, i haven't gotten anything cancelling my order, nor telling me that i was in violation, but i haven't gotten confirmation yet either, so what the heck's going on?

The good part about that article is that it creates publicity for the present Disney dilemma. Given the circumstances, Disney is not in a position to send at full price orders made before the notice was posted. There has been rumors of this going to happen for all orders but no longer can this be true. For those of you who got in after the notice - good luck. But I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I won't be cancelling my order - I still have the feeling I might be landing this deal.
