pull on it, that way you'll find out if it's in place or not.

Index finger? It might be a good idea to go to the doctor. I broke my pinky and ignored it, not its deformed because the bone healed at an angle other than straight. But you might actually use the index finger.

I dislocated a finger during a highschool football game. I got it twisted up in someone's facemask and bent it sideways. It looked nasty as fvck but my coach just popped it back into place, taped it, and sent me back in for the next play. It healed just fine without a visit to the doctor.

Really dude a dislocated finger isn't that serious...

Edit: You might try taping it to the finger that's next to it for a while and give it a couple of weeks to heal completely.

Dislocated fingers hurt a lot. If you pop it back in, it should stop hurting but be a little sore. It will also be stiff. If it hurt after that, get it checked up because you could have chipped bone fragment / fracture.

Yeah, dislocated fingers aren't too bad. I used to have a knee that dislocated every once in a while. That is seriously painful.

knuckle at the base of the hand, dont have a camera, i can curve it down with stiffness, if i try to raise it up starts to get tough, if i push it the knuckle will crack, swelling now is noticable side by side, but really not too bad.

Pop it back in place and splint it to another finger. Stop messing with it.

with your good hand, get your index finger and push down on the 2nd knuckle of your index finger while you push up on your first knuckle with your thumb (where it's dislocated)... make sure your other fingers are holding the end of the dislocated finger while you're doing it to help you with control. administer a quick thrust... it'll hurt. right after you do that, ice it for about 10 mins. then, go to the store and buy a finger splint and some tape. splint your finger straight and don't use your index finger for like 2 weeks. you should be fine after that.

do NOT torque it or move it side to side. that'll only make it worse.

When you dislocate something, as easy as it is to pop it back into place, you risk pinching a nerve or something like that which can end up really bad. I'd go to a doctor, especially for something like a finger. Good luck dood.
