diskpart and SSD install

When I installed my first SSD (Win 7 Pro) I'm thinking I had to use diskpart to do the 4K alignment. I just can't remember.....

I'm getting ready to install a new Samsung SSD and wondered if it is necessary to do any particular with diskpart to make the drive more efficient?

I believe that Win7 aligns SSDs (or even all disks) at 1MB boundaries.

You can check alignment after installation and correct it if it is improperly aligned with something like Partition Wizard.
