Diskeeper vs PerfectDisk?

Been using diskeeper for a long time. Now version 10 is out. I've been reading users prefer PerfectDisk due to it doing a lot better job.

Any comments?

i have use dk for a long time and did try out perfectdisk. i really couldn't tell a difference, so i stayed with dk...

perfect disk has options to set the hdd up for most accessed files, etc but it still didn't do much.

i was comparing to dk 9 and whatever version pd was that was out at the same time

Tried 'em both. DK was slower and the GUI was not as useful. I get faster response and a better feel for what I am doingin the area of complete optimization wiuth PD. The PD display is a take off on Symantec's old Speed Disk which is good. DK doesn't tell me about the MFT reserved zone and how it impacts on causing fragmentation.

PD's handling of NTSF system files and the page file is outstanding.

diskeeper 10 came out a couple of days ago! i checked out a screenshot and they revamped the interface. looks a LOT cleaner and more streamlined.

i am evaluating DK 10 right now, temporarirly disabled my loved PD just to see what DK10's Ifaast and the (so called) new and better optimization routines do.
They claim substantial improvements and (on my HD) which was already nicely defraged uptp 24% increase with the new ifaast - anyway i will monitor this and look what's up with those claims.
