I am downloading a 115 meg file for the new Voyager Demo, and I want to take it Via Zip disk to another machine. How do I put this on two zip disks? What prog would you use?
Standard WinZip will do the same thing...WinRAR is great, but you can do it with either one. Under the "Add to Archive" dialog box, enter your Zip drive's letter, which will in turn enable the "Multiple Disk Spanning" dropdown box. Let it churn!
ACE is the enhanced version of rar
it work in dos and is much much faster then winrar
let say it take winrar 5min to compress
with ACE it take only 2min
I would use WinAce. It's the best compression utility I have ever used. And it unpacks, multiple zips, arj, rar, ace, etc... you won't need another compression program after you get this...
Want to know another utility that will work? Windows backup utility will also automatically span floppies too!! Not everyone has it installed, but it is an alternative that is free.
