Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter

First off my system specs are in my signature.

Here is the problem. I just got a new Dell 1704FPT LCD monitor and I went to set the monitor up. So I shut my PC down and commenced with unplugging the old CRT monitor and plugging in the new LCD monitor (into my DVI jack). I booted the system up and come to find out I didn't have any keyboard functionality. I then realized that I accidently unplugged the keyboard. So I shutdown again plugged the keyboard in and when I tried to boot up again it says

boot from cd...
Disk Boot Error, please insert system disk and press enter

well I took the cdrom that was in the drive out and pressed enter so it would boot from my Raptor. But when I press enter all it does is just says invalid system disk and reprompts me again. I went into the bios and changed the first boot device to HDD-0 and it still asks for a CDROM disk without skipping to booting off my Raptor. I've tried a different power cord for the Harddrive I've unplugged the SATA port and plugged it back in and it's still not working. I don't understand what the problem could be. I've even plugged the old monitor back in and it still is doing this. Other than adding a new monitor to the equation nothing has changed.

Am I experiencing a coincidental hardrive failure????

Any other ideas please help this is extremely frustrating.

I'll try the CMOS reset and get back to you. I'm not at my machine right now and won't be for a couple of hours. I just have to make sure I write down a couple of settings 🙂

And there is no floppy in the floppy drive already checked 🙂
