Thanks for posting how NOT to release PC games. Its funny that Blizzard has been 100% PC just a few years ago and it has been doing amazingly well.
Its amazing how Valve is doing amazingly well and with just 2 games mind you Dota 2 and CS:GO.

Maybe, just maybe if developers release unfinished broken games on PC and do it over and over, PC gamers would stop buying PC games from said companies?

Lets see how poor the Witcher 3 did then, oh wait it was the top selling game. Gee when you release a solid PC games you get top sales, what kind of magic is that?

Completely wrong - Blizzard has been multi-platform since it's creation in 1991. It's first ever game was for the Super Nintendo. PC support was eventually added, though always released alongside MAC OS and other platforms.

Interesting bit on polaris:

Look at the difference between the mighty r9 390 and the rx 470. In every other game, the cards are very close to each other but the 390 is mostly faster. A question. How much of the graphics tasks are rejected by polaris thanks to the new primitive culling?

How much bloat this game has, that is not rendered by polaris? How much of the bloat that polaris renders is discarded by pascal?

This is "project cars" kind of silly now.

Hard to say, but benchmarks indicate nvidia still has a significant advantage in this area.

The 1060 is able to cull nearly 50% more triangles in both cases here.

Also HBAO+ for AMD and fixed cloth bug

Update 1.2 notes:

PERFORMANCE
  • Reduced framerate stuttering
  • Added a customizable FPS limiter to reduce the fluctuation
  • Framerate capped at 120 FPS to prevent physics issues which occur only above 120fps
  • Max pre-rendered frame is now managed by the game
  • Adjusted Texture Details settings so settings make a significant visual and performance change
  • Fixed a bug where AMD GPU experienced huge framerate drops when there is cloth simulation in the environment.
  • Adjusted ocean settings for perf improvement
  • Added frequency in V-sync UI
  • Fixed a bug where VRAM usage was higher than available VRAM
  • Fixed a bug where auto-detected settings were set too high for certain hardware
  • Added HBAO+ support for AMD GPUs
  • Fixed a bug where turning HBAO+ ON created some bad shadowing on player's hands
  • Removed Environment Details settings as it was strongly tied to View Distance
  • Removed Fog Quality settings as it was not impacting the visuals or providing performance advantages
  • Adjusted auto detected settings for R9 290X2
  • Fixed a bug where Water Quality settings was only impacting ocean, not canals or pools
  • Improved CPU cores utilization on high and low-end machines

  • Fixed a bug where AMD GPU experienced huge framerate drops when there is cloth simulation in the environment.
  • Added HBAO+ support for AMD GPUs

Well, let's see a new performance reviews... but you know, damage has been done :/
