Dishnetwork, is there a way to force the program guide to update?

Sometimes the Dishnetwork guide is not up to date. It'll show a listing that doesn't match what is actually playing. Or like during the NBA playoffs when schedules are tentative, it doesn't keep up when there's a change. It seems like it's updating it once every week. What I was wondering is if there's a way to tell the receiver to update the guide whenever you want? Either manually or set it to do it nightly instead of weekly.

Will it update if you move the guide to the following day. I know it will download that day's guide but I don't know if it will update the current.

It's a PITA, but if you unplug it for a minute and then plug it back in it will re-download the program guide.

Sometimes I have to do this after some foul weather + power outage, because it won't find all the transponders and give me all of the channels to which I am subscribed.

Might want to try fredtam's suggestion first, though.
