Dish Network question

Hey, guys.

I'm currently subscribed to Dish Network, and I'm moving to another place soon.
When I move out, I want to upgrade my package from America's Top 60 (w/ local channels) to America's Top 120 (w/ local) and Fox multi sports pack. And I'm gonna get DVR also.

But for the current customer, I have to pay $299 to buy it, or pay $99 installation plus $5/month for leasing with a year contract while some retailers offer free DVR for the new customers.

So I'm thinking that I cancel my account (under current address and my name only), and my wife order new subscription with new address to get the promotion.

Is this possible idea?

i hate dishtv.

then comcast offered me a SWEETHEART deal.

no more dishtv for me.

edit

btw, with dishtv, a one time customer can NEVER take advantage of one of those specials again.

Yes. My brother-in-law did exactly that when he moved to a new town. His wife signed them up for service after the move. Got some special multi-room promotion with the DVR receivers and stuff.

I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, I'm just saying it's possible to do it. She would be a new customer for them in that she had never signed up for service herself in the past.
