Dish Network/DirecTV sports package question

So I signed up for Dish Network's America Top 100 which said it includes the following channels:

Comcast Sports Network
Fox Sports Net Bay Area
Fox Sports Net Northwest
NESN
ESPN
Fox Sports Net Chicago
Fox Sports Net Ohio
Sports Alternate 1
ESPN Alternate
Fox Sports Net Cincinnati
Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh
Sports Alternate 2
ESPN Classic
Fox Sports Net Detroit
Fox Sports Net Rocky Mtn
Sports Alternate 3
ESPN2
Fox Sports Net Florida
Fox Sports Net South
Sports Alternate 4
ESPN2 Alternate
Fox Sports Net Midwest
Fox Sports Net Southwest
Sunshine Network
ESPNews
Fox Sports Net New England
Fox Sports Net West
TV Games Network
Empire Sports
Fox Sports Net New York
Fox Sports Net West 2
The Speed Channel
Fox Sports Net Arizona
Fox Sports Net North
Madison Square Garden
Turner South

I know that DirecTV has a similar package so maybe I can get some help here from DirecTV customers as well. But how come I can't turn to those channels? The only ones I can turn to are Fox Sports West 1 & 2 and the alternate channels. I thought I have access to ALL the Fox Sports channels EXCEPT when there's a blackout on for a profesional game? When I even try to switch to one of those other channels, it won't even let me. Am I not understanding something correctly here?

BTW I live in S. California

Did you get the sports package for DTV? Otherwise you only get like FSW, FSW2, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, ESPN news, Speed Channel, OLN and a couple others. The sports package is like $5 for the rest of the aforementioned channels.

I don't have DTV, I have DishNetwork and the package I signed up for mentioned all those channels. The reason I included DTV was because I know they have those similar channels in a package. I AM suppose to get all those channels during non-blackouts right? Or are they assigning me SOME of those channels based on where I live?

Man, they said that I can't get those channels because of the region I'm in. The sales person I spoke to when I first signed up said the Top 100 has the included Multi-Sports Package. But now they're saying the multi-sports package that is included in the TOp 100 is a regional package. In order to get EVERYTHING, I have to sign up for the "real" multi-sport package for another $5.99. WTF?

Your mistake.

DirecTV pwnz j00😛😛

Seriously tho, I have no idea how Dish works. I know that when I first had DirecTV I had every channel available for like 3 months. The sports ones all came in fine except when blackout applied.

If you are absolutely sure that the misunderstanding is the fault of the sales rep, and not your own... Then call and tell them that they should work out a deal for you.

But your example is how DirecTV works. You get the regional sports channels in the basic packages, but you have to subcribe to get them all.

Yeah, I think you're right. He thought he got them all but in reality you only get the ones for your region unless you're paying to get them all.

When I signed up, the sales rep said something a long the line of "yes the Top 100 includes the MULTI-SPORTS PACKAGE". Argh, so misleading. They don't even mention ANYTHING about only getting some channels in diff regions. All I see is that I might get blackout in certain regions. Damn them.

That rep mislead you.

From the Dishnetwork website:
"* Please note: If you subscribe to America's Top 100 you will receive the regional sports network(s) determined by your geographical location. Click Here for sports blackout information."
