I'd agree, except with the last part. Modern mainstream radio artists cant because they're all overproduced hacks. There are plenty of small label artists that can floor you with their natural talent. I could think of a few hundred, but for some reason, Cat Power (Chan Marshall) came to mind. She's one of the best female singers alive.
