I'm thinking about buying a Dell UltraSharp 2001FP LCD. One of the things that has held me back is its appearance. Is their anyway to disguise or change the frame of an LCD, so that it can look just as nice as a Samsung 1901T :)

Btw...I was thinking about using some kind of spray paint (Possibly in silver) it might look worse though :Q

Thanks in advance,

Oh common :) The one thing people see the most is your monitor. One would like it to at least be free of Logo's/advertisements. Their has got to be some kind of new frame for Lcd's.

Besides, considering my experience with Dell support :p - I wouldn't call them soon.

Maybe some home paint :?

Cut out a small rectangle of black electrical tape and cover it.

Honestly, we never notice the Dell logo on my GF's 1901FP. It's not all that shiny in home lighting. And the monitor looks damn nice, Dell logo or not. I think the bezel looks BETTER than the Samsung 190... By far.

Put a bumper sticker across the bottom of the pannel :) Major plus for those "My Child is a honor student blah blah".

You might want to consider that unless you're buying the Dell XPC that you can't buy the Dell 2001FP separately yet. I don't see what the big deal is with having a logo or "advertisement" Do you cover up the logo on your tv? On your vacuum? On your fridge? On your dvd player?

You will not notice it after a week of use...

I think he is mostly just worried about Dell rather than other brands. He may be one of those people who thinks he is to good for dell or something. But I say hey if you get get something really nice and really cheap then screw it. I don't buy Dell PC's cause well I build my own systems, but a monitor sure I'd get one and not be embarrassed about it. They are nice and look good too.

Well I can see why people don't want to slap a big Dell logo on their custom PC that they spent time building themself.

I don't have anything against Dell. However after spending the time to custom build a pc :) I would like to not see the Dell logo. Just imagine, my family has 4 pc's in the house and they all say "DELL" - it'll drive you nuts sometimes.
