Or, you know, it could be arbitrary. If say, 80% of all their quad core desktop CPUs that are functional can reach 3.5GHz at 84W, under what they consider reasonable tests to indicate that, then the rest would all be about maintaining ASPs.

So what are the 4 core loaded speeds for the 4770K, S, and T at their respective 84, 65, and 45 watts?

I remember my 2500S processor only ran at 0.1GHz more than its base speed when running 100% folding@home...

After that, I aim for better base speed ratings.

That's the attraction of the "K" CPUs for me, not that I necessarily need it to go maximum speed, but that I want to be able to control the thing.
