I'm enlisting as E-3 end of this month and going to station(dont know where) on july.
I'm going to take online college courses(free tuition) and get my degree.
If I can get into OCS after that I'll keep working in army if not, I'll find new job after 4 years.

anyone know or was in Officer Candidate School?

Get any offers or primises IN WRITING. Other than that, my dad retired from the army so it can't be all bad.

Go to college and join ROTC. After 4 years of college on your graduation day you will be commissioned as an Officer and the benefits for an Officer to that of an enlisted are FAR FAR better.

a lot of the ppl here would run up to canada if they were forced to serve.

not all, but a lot.

it can be very good, and very "fun" if you really want to do it.

I am here with this freedom due to people giving their life in the past. If I had to go to war for my country and the freedoms we have, I would.

Yeah. There was a thread a little while back, about the draft and such. I could dig it up, but I'm not going to. . . at any rate, it turns out that this forum is full of draft dodging communist, I'm glad to see that you're not one of them.
