Discovery channel taken hostage

I really hope no one has been injured. Crazy that it's the discovery channel...what could anyone be mad at them about?

Probably a fundamentalist Christian eco terrorist...and likely a teabaggin' Fox News viewer to boot!

Try again.

Here is a list of his demands.

4. Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This is your obligation. If you think it isn't, then get hell off the planet! Breathe Oil! It is the moral obligation of everyone living otherwise what good are they??

(Updated at 3:10 p.m.) James Lee, the man suspected of taking a hostage at the Discovery Channel headquarters, is an environmental protester who has been publishing criticisms of the network, according to a senior law enforcement official close to the investigation.

here's an update, looks like he's an eco-terrorist alright.

A clear case of Kool-Aid OD. Or perhaps we could extrapolate this into something that denigrates all anti-religious, pro-MMGW, abortion lovers...hmmm.

...
"Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what's left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture," it continues.

Lee also blasts immigration, farming, weapons of mass destruction, automotive pollution, "and the whole blasted human economy."

He demands that the Discovery Channel broadcast daily prime-time shows devoted to "solutions to save the planet," perhaps in a game-show format, insisting "Make it interesting so people watch and apply solutions!!!!"

I'll take 'Crazy As A Loon' for $1k, Alex.

Ugh.. it's understandable, I suppose. I mean, if I woke up every morning, looked into the mirror and saw his hideous face day after day, month after month, I'd probably think humans are filth too.
