Discover Card sucks!!!<Rant>

I thought I would try a post with the new look. Well anyways I hate Discover Card!!! I hated them even worse when I worked for them. Well how the story goes is that I quit working for them about 3 weeks ago. I needed to pick up my last check from them and the day I quit is when we got paid. They wanted to cut me one last final check instead of two so they told me to come in the next day to pick it up. So I go in the next day go into the HR department to pick it up. They told me they mailed it out early that morning,:|. That would have been fine but here it is like 3 weeks later and I still haven't recieved it!!! I only live 15 minutes from the place, does it really take that long!:|. To top things off I have to move back up to Idaho from here in Salt Lake City on Thursday and I need my check. Well anyways that is my rant. Anyone have any advice for me?
 
And to top it off their balance transfer options sucked. They were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!
 
drive over there and tell them to pay you now! they can stop payment on the old check
at least here in minnesota its the law that your employer must give you your last paycheck within a certain amount of time.
it might be as short as 48 hours but it might be a week, i don't recall exactly.
maybe you can call you states dept. of labor.
 
The sad thing is I think the payroll department is based out of Chicago. I guess I need to drive down there and raise some hell.
 
I had a discover card till I tried to use it at Nordstroms here in San Diego and the lady told me "this is a SEARS card!", we don't take these here. I was so embarrassed.

Hardly!! Started out as a Sears Card but hasnt been for many years.

Never let a store clerk, notice I didnt say salesperson, embarrass you especially for your money. Most are at the pinnacle of their ability. Nordstroms is hardly upscale.

Discover Card is one of the best out there for lack of problems and good customer service. I dont use anything else unless the business doesnt take it and those are becoming fewer every day.
 
They haven't been a part of Sears since 1989. Now I have to take a trip down to DC and mess the idiots in HR.
