I bought a set of nitto mud grapplers for $1400, didnt like road noise and Discount took them back after a whole month. Got a less aggressive tread but it didnt cost me. Discount is the only place i'll deal with.

While I also like Discount Tire they could not compete with TireRack on the Goodyear GT's I called about. Discount wanted $602.88 while TireRack charged $444.62 delivered to my door. WalMart (yeah, I know) will mount and lifetime balance for $42 making my total $486.62 or $116.26 cheaper than Discount. I guess with Discount YMMV.

Did you try price matching? They PMd my Kumhos to TireRack so that total cost with installation would be the same.

Yeah Discount price matches, and tacks on a $10 delivery cost, plus the installation. The $10 they charge for delivery is less than Tire Rack

Is discont tire better than Costco for your tires and work?

Costco is good, but they have a limited selection. NOt sure if they charge to mount though.

Costco's prices include mounting, disposal, stem caps, etc. There are no extra charges beyond their per-tire price. They are cheaper than Tirerack for the tires they offer, but they only offer BF Goodrich and Michelin. And Michelins are very expensive tires, so if all you want is a cheap tire, they are not the place to go. If you want cheap Michelins, they're a great option.
