yeah, we play DIsc GOlf a lot around here, its a great game, but takes a little while to get used to how the discs fly

I've played only two times since I got the new set, and the discs (Innnova) are already starting to fray rather severely. Are you better off buying the more expensive discs which are supposedly more durable?

Yes and no... make sure you have your drive down before going to better plastic.

I was actually going to start this same thread asking if anyone else played on the board... Started playing early this summer with my new girlfriend just for something to do and we both feel in love with the game and each other... I've spent WAY to much money on a bunch of discs but only because I keep losing them in the water... There's at least five courses within 30 minutes of me and 2 are nearly in my back yard. I don't know where you guys talking about the 119g discs and such learned that but I bet its way old school. I haven't thrown a disc under 150g and most are over 170g. I dont carry a bag unless it's filled with beer and I do a small run up to the tee which has improved my drive to over 300'! My best putt so far was from ~110' behind a tree!! Oh and around here the local public access channel shows tournaments every once in a while.. pretty lame video and commentary but the pros are amazing and you get to see some crazy long drives...

Can't wait to go to Florida in Jan or Feb so we can play a few games.
