Disassembling the CRT iMac?

I'm thinking about disassembling my CRT iMac to free up some desk space, I know it has been done before anyone have any info. about it?

I have disassembled quite a few iMacs (and of course reassembled them as my customers prefer to have complete computers returned to them. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Like most Apples the iMac fits together like a puzzle, but does not work too well without every part installed.

I'm trying to get rid of the CRT monitor, and possibly hook up an LCD to it.

some iMacs have VGA out in the back, mine does. I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
