Disabling Startup Programs

Hi, I'm trying to minimize the amount of things that start with Windows. Can you tell me if these things are safe to stop, and what they do?

HGTXPEI (C:\WINDOWS\System32\FirstReboot.exe)
NeroCheck (C:\WINDOWS\system32\NeroCheck.exe)
Adobe Gamma Loader

Also, in msconfig, there are more entries for startup than are in my "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run". Where do I find all these in the registry?
