I bought a generic keyboard for a PC I built for a friend. Before buying, I knew this key was on the keyboard, but I misinterpreted its function. The keyboard - while perfect for the applications used on the PC - has a certain key that can turn the entire PC off with a Power key located to the right of F12. My first interpretations were that it was a keyboard power button as I have seen quite a few with them. It didn't even dawn on me that a wired keyboard probably won't have a power button.
Anyways, given that this key is so close to a few keys that are going to be commonly used, I was wondering if there is any way to disable these keys or to remap them. Considering they took the place (bumped the three down) of the Print Screen/Scroll Lock/Pause Break keys, I would much rather remap them to those keys instead so the keyboard will act like a normal one (normal to me, anyways).
Any help is greatly appreciated as I would like to resolve this tonight considering this PC is going to be packaged back up and then sent to my friend. I could change it over there, but I would rather it be done tonight.
