I bought a HP laptop. It uses F4 for something to do with the screen. I have a program that also uses F4 for a command. It no longer works because of the one for the laptop. How can I disable the preassigned hotkey/shortcut?
Go into the bios/system configuration/action keys mode. Disable this.... you will now need to press Fn and the relevant button to use the preset HP hotkeys and F4/ALT F4 etc will work as required.
