Disabling onboard sound.

How do you disable onboard sound? I added a soundblaster card and everytime I remove it from the device manager it reappears after I reboot.

Please help.

Have you looked through ALL of your BIOS menus?

That's where I'm able to disable the on-board (AC-97) audio.

It may also be a jumper on the motherboard.

not on his board, but it is ac97, and can be disabled in your bios, check the book that came with the motherboard or look at the pdf on the manufacturers web site.
