In Win XP when I click on Start and then Documents, a list of fifteen or so of my latest viewed Docs appear. I know there is a way to disable this but can?t seem to remember. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Sorry about the other post
If it matters to you, mearly unchecking the box won't disable the feature... The easiest way i know of completely disabling it is to download TweakUI and disable Recent Files from there... Otherwise they will still be created, just not shown... With tweakUI the files aren't kept at all....

you can also set a group policy or set a registry entry. Since it's a single machine tweakui is probably going to be your easiest bet.

start, run, type' gpedit.msc

then go under: local computer policy, user cofiguration, administrative templates, start menu & taskbar

modify the policy for: do not keephistory of recently opened documents.

this also makes it so programs dont rememer recent files either.
