Disabling crossfire on 4870X2?

The new shadows they added in WoW aren't working right with crossfire/SLi, so I am trying to disable crossfire for now until there is a driver fix or something. However I can't find an option in the CCC to disable crossfire so I'm at a loss. Is there supposed to be a check box to enable/disable crossfire in CCC or is it located somewhere else?

In CCC, just click the "Disable Catalyst AI" option under the 3D tab and Crossfire will be turned off.

Second time I've seen reference to Catalyst AI and CF. Are you certain?

give it a try

if you want to actually disable a core you need to disable Cat AI and a core in Device manager

And OP, isn't it easier to just disable the shadows?

Set the shaddows to the second place from the left on the slider. You should not have issues after that.
