I turned off all the sounds, and it still didn't work. Also, this is not a "clicking" sound, but a "water dropping" sound, not sure if they're related.Originally posted by: elzmaddy
Go to Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia -> Sounds tab -> Scroll down the list to "Windows Explorer." Click on "Start Navigation" Now in the sounds list, change it to "(none)" and OK it. It removes that annoying click sound from both Windows and Internet Explorer, and should do the same for your sound.

You could always do a search on your hard drive for all .wav files, find the offending sound, and delete it. Certainly not the most elegant solution, but if you can't find the sound through the sounds and multimedia applet in the control panel, this would do what you want.
