Disabling AIM Sounds

Hi, I feel extremely stupid for asking this question, but I cannot find the option to disable the door open and door close sounds when buddies sign on and sign off AIM. I have instant messanger 5.0.2938 and the sounds are driving me crazy! If anyone can help, thanks in advance!

There are sound checkmarks everywhere in AIM. Make sure you check for sounds in IM/Chat, IM Talk, Talk, and Mail.
