Disable XP movie times in explorer?

Basically, I have a directory with lets say 200 divx AVIs. Whenever I navigate to the folder everything slows down for like 4 minutes while XP analyzes every avi and posts the duration within the windows explorer window. Is there a way to disable this *feature*???
 
In the preview pane on the left side of the folder that contains them, close by clicking the double chevron for file and folder tasks.

Or turn off the preview pane all together.
