How do I disable the onboard video on a Sony Vaio PCV-2210? There is an option in BIOS for everything but onboard video. I have googled it and looked for it on the sony website but found nada.

I have a dual vga Geforce FX 5200, and it will not let me just use the two on the video card, I have to enable the onboard one as well, otherwise everytime I right click on the desktop I get an error. I am using Windows XP Pro.

Just disable it through WinXP.

Go into the control panel. Select System. Choose the Hardware tab. Select Device Manager. Under Device Adapters, disable the onboard one.

sometimes motherboards automatically disable onboard when you add a PCI or AGP card.

Perhaps there's a jumper onboard that you will have to set to disable the onboard video.
Check your manual.

Ahh yes, that's right.. most OEM's expect that you will never have to open the case to install anything at all cause it's a perfect machine as it is ;)

I once bought a 386 that had a label on the case so that if I opened it I would void the warranty.. never again will I make that mistake.

See if there is an option for which vga to start first, either onboard or AGP. That will disable the onboard when you install the AGP Card.
