Disable backspace key as back button?

Is there anyway in IE to disable the backspace key from acting as the back button? When typing in a field and I have a typo if I hit backspace it takes me back to the previous page instead of deleting the text. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
 
Just hit Shift + Backspace and the information should still be there... unless its a secure site. Only thing I can think of would be to redo the backspace key to 'Left Key' 'Delete'.
