Super excited for this. Dirt 3 is a great game, only hindered by GFWL and a crappy DLC model. This new version of the game basically eliminates both those things.
If you already own the game, you'll find the new version listed as a separate entry in your Steam library, titled "DiRT 3 Complete Edition". If you don't own the game, you can grab it on sale right now for 20% off.
Definitely going to hop into some multiplayer tonight. For what appears to be a simple driving game on the surface, Dirt 3 actually has some surprisingly entertaining multiplayer modes (including an "infected" mode). Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome.
I’m pleased to announce that DiRT 3 is now available with 100% less Games for Windows Live.
As a thank you for your patience over this last year we’ll be upgrading everybody who owns DiRT 3 to the DiRT 3 Complete Edition, which will include all of our DLC for no extra cost.
If you currently have the GFWL version of DiRT 3 in your Steam Library you should now also have access to the DiRT 3 Complete Edition which should already be there your list of owned games. To play it simply select it from your library and click install.
However if you own a boxed PC copy of DiRT 3 or have a Games For Window Live CD Key you can now activate that CD key on Steam as well.
