I think this is the right place for this, I apologize if it is not, but heres the delema:

I have Halo(1) for the PC and ran it on my old machine, then I got this new one, and just recently installed it. When i go to run Halo, I get this error:

"A problem occured initilizing Direct3D. Hardware accelration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG."

Machine Info: 3000MHz, 1024MB, 320mATI (0x4253)

So I find DXDIAG, run it, the acceleration IS on, and I test every possible tests there are, and they all pass. I think it may be conflicting somehow with my graphics card. So I go into my ATI Catalyst Control Center, and I can't seem to find anyhthing with acceleration at all... unless I just don't see it.

Any help or info would be apreciated, thanks in advanced.

Uninstall the game, and buy an Xbox.

Hehe, jp. Seriously though, uninstall the game, and reinstall it "and" directx (sometimes this isn't even optional). That "should" fix the issue.
