DirectX 8.0

Got a new MB and HDD and installed DirectX 8.0. I then installed my Radeon drivers, and I keep getting error messages about the "ddhelp" file. Any ideas? I'm running Win98SE.

try reinstalling the direct 8.0..are you overclocking..you might want to down clock and install the basics first...Do you have a VIA chipset?? what the VIA 4n1??

Shouldn't you of installed your drivers, then DirectX?

I would suggest you uninstall your drivers for your Radeon, then re-install them, then put DX8 back on. The DDhelp file is Microsofts Helper File. Perhaps just re-installing DX first will resolve it.

Thanks! I might have gotten there eventually (after I pulled my head out). Your timely response was great! (If this reply appears twice, it's because my employer's network hoses up. Not good for a telecomm company!)
