May I ask why you installed DX5 on Windows 2000? You do realize how old DX5 is? Windows 2000 comes with DX7. I have no idea why you would force it to use DX5
I was installing my mobo drivers and it asked me to install DirectX.
It was late and so I clicked 'Yes'. When I restarted I checked the DirectX Info box and all the file names/version numbers begin with 5!
Find dxdiag.exe in your WINNT folder and it will tell you what version of DirectX you have installed. Try that. If it is version 5 you have installed then stop by [L]www.microsoft.com/directx[/L] to DL DX7.
