directron sidewalk sale this saturday (for houstonians)

I checked out their sale a week or two ago. Nothing really special, but really cheap accessories like keyboard, mice, and the like. They had a huge box of dell quiet keyboards for $1. Dell black mice were $2 I think. Lots of clearance cases (of the cheaper quality kind though) as well as old monitors.

The first time they have this was great.. alot of accessories for cheap . .. like 1 dollar black Dell keyboard and mose.. 10 cents for black dell mouse pad... pretty much alot of stuffs go for less then a dollar... the second time i came back .. they jacked up the price like 10 times.. i dunno what's that all about.. so i have to go home bare handed. :| Still thinking about if i should go again tommorow... maybe one of the crazy manager there is gonna change the price again

Yeh, the black keyboards had a premium

. The plain beige was a dollar and I think the black were 4. I'd only go if I needed something anyways, or if it wasn't out of the way.

Found a pair of older AMD chipset mobo's. I've got a special ISA card that just doesn't work with VIA chipsets, so I've been looking for these boards. Also snagged a pair of refurb'd Compaq P110, 21 inch monitors in exellent condition for $145ea. The good folks at Directron were kind enough to set up these 21" monitors on a test bench and let me try them out before I purchased them. I may have to go back later this week and get a couple more of these monitors
I asked them if they plan to continue having these monthly garage sales and their reply was "If we sell enough merchandise"
