Direction of Airflow?

I am running a 1.1ghz Atholon with 256mb DDR and an ATI All-in-wonder DDR. I am also using a Alienware style case with the side exhaust fan, front intake fan, 1 rear exhuast fan, a CPU cooler, a chipset cooler (ASUS A7M266), and fan on the AIW.

My question is, what direction should I have the side fan blow? Should it be an exhaust or an intake fan?

where is the side fan in relation to anything that might restrict airflow. i.e. desk, couch, bookshelf, etc.?

The side fan right now is exhuast, blowing into the side of a desk, about 3 inches away. If it were being used as an intake, it would blow directly above my PCI cards and CPU area.

are all fans in question 80mm? if so i would switch it to intake.

Ask Alienware. I have heard their tech support is very good and they have probably already determined the optimum config.
