Direct X 10 cards...

Im thinking about buying a 7900GTX to replace a 6800 GT OC. What are the projections on next gen cards? Last i heard was Q1 2007, but cant find any info on this right now.

BTW, I tried a search so dont jump down my throat for starting this thread.

Once we start seeing Windows Vista for sale with DX10, then I would suspect you'll start seeing DX10 videocards. I predict late 2006 or early 2007.

Damn, thats too long to wait to upgrade. I guess i will have to build a new rig for vista. Thanks for the info though.

I know. You "tried a search". But this topic has been beaten to death and came back then beaten to death again and again.

Alright. My "projection" is probably either Q4 06 or Q1 07 probably also when Vista is released.

Also the search on the side of the page (that little search thing under all the categories) works better then the other search (advanced search).
