Direct TV help!!

dunno if you guys could help me out but i just bought a direct tv system and a programmed card ( via a friend) to go with it. I set everything up, the signal is at 91 and everything is in right order. But somehow, it still doesn't work. Anyone with Direct TV expertise here can offer some help??

Bootlegging, piracy, signal theft, etc is pretty much discouraged here.

what error do you get on your screen?

If no error: take out your card, do you get an error then?
-Take back to friend

-No error: not setup correctly.
